| All of my pieces are hand woven from 100%
wool. The colors are hand dyed. The length wise threads (warp) make up the visual
surface of the weaving. There are 2 layers of warp in each weaving. Bother layers
can be dyed or one layer can be dyed with the second layer being natural (cream
like), black fade to light gray - faded back to black or all black threads. I use only 2 kinds of yarn to weave into the warp, black or natural (white-creamy like). The edges will show this black or natural color. Colors for the dyed layer or layers come from samples you provide, i.e. upholstery fabric, wall paper, pictures, paint chips, magazine clippings, etc. When specifying colors, try to keep a theme in mind like mostly blues and teals with accents of mauve and rust or all bold colors, mostly primary colors, or all soft muted tones of grayed colors, etc. Let me know the colors you want to see and the ones you don't want to see as well. Keep in mind if you chose a double dyed layer piece, the colors have to compliment each other, but still contrast to separate the layers so that the design will be distinct. Graphic designs for all these weavings are mainly contemporary and geometric in nature with straight lines. The design choices are listed on my order form. Send me an email with your name and address and I will send you an order form. All design choices work on the flat pieces, with only some of these being effective for the sculptural wall pieces. Pricing is by the square foot. Please consult with me on variations of both design ad color choices and try to convey to me your vision of what you like about the design and colors in relation to your needs. The widest I can weave on my loom is 4 feet. Any length is possible.
