Beautiful Hand Dyed Fiber Wall Art |
| I hand dye all of my materials before they are woven on a floor loom. I use permanent dyes that are steam set. My colors are fairly sun-resistant to fading. I use merino wool from New Zealand for my floor and wall pieces. |
| I started using silk in 2008. I found that by weaving exotic wood stick pieces gave me a new direction to go. I like to combine exotic wood with the silk to get a foreign, perhaps an Asian look to my work. Using different color schemes, I can create a southwestern look by using turquoise, gold, and Terra-cotta red. All of my work is one of a kind. I make things every day using dyes, fibers and wood. |
| Sun resistant, fire retardant: merino wool is a sustainable product. It is a recyclable material produced by sheep in New Zealand. My work can be seen in fine art galleries or at fine contemporary craft and art festivals. Please see my show schedule for updated show listings. |
